The Austin Smith Scholarship Application Process includes the application form recommendation letters letter of intent congratulations from the college trade or technical school of your choice listing of all school and community activities with years of participation and Applicants statement addressing which career path you wish to pursue and why. Please include a brief introduction to your family background in this page as well. Please title the document Career Pursuit and Family Background. To prevent disqualification the essay must be typed and double spaced using no less than 12 point type in 1 page or less.

The Austin Smith Foundation will award scholarships of applicants pursuing higher education. Annual amounts will vary applicants should be graduates of St. Paul High School Woodburn High School Newberg High School Gervais High School North Marion High School or Kennedy High School pursuing a career in the following fields: Fire Sciences Criminal Justice Paramedic or Nursing.
