Description
Through this Task Agreement, the partners will create, fill, administer, and support a range of internships and fellowships in support of projects and locations where the NPS Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance (â¿¿RTCAâ¿) program and other NPS programs are providing technical assistance to a range of partners. Each such position will provide high-quality exposure to the kinds of professional work performed by NPS to benefit local communities, and will include efforts to engage young people in projects that support community-led natural resource conservation and outdoor recreation projects. Depending on circumstances, specific positions may be recruited locally or nationwide. The range of opportunities to be created may include season-long career introductory internships, â¿¿Fellowshipsâ¿ lasting for six months or longer, and 11-week long Rigorous Internships that conform to the specific requirements of an approved Rigorous Internship Program as outlined by NPS and the Office of the Secretaryâ¿¿s Personnel Bulletin No. 12-15.
