Description

The US Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a single source cooperative agreement to the National Wildlife Refuge Association as described below. This is not an application process. The National Wildlife Refuge Association proposes to work with the National Wildlife Refuge System through a Cooperative Agreement to invest $951,000 in planning, community outreach and program delivery in several Urban Refuge initiatives across the nation, including: ��� Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge ��� Denver, CO ��� Valle d���Oro National Wildlife Refuge ��� Albuquerque, NM ��� Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge ��� New Orleans, LA ��� Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge ��� Detroit, MI ��� John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum ��� Philadelphia, PA ��� A.R.M. Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge ��� West Palm Beach, FL ��� South Texas Refuge Complex ��� Harlingen and McAllen, Texas In addition, as determined through the project period, the Refuge Association will also work with the Refuge System���s Urban Wildlife Conservation Program to develop urban refuge proposals and programs at: ��� Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge ��� Seattle, WA ��� Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge ��� San Francisco, CA ��� Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge ��� Salt Lake City, UT ��� Patuxent National Research Refuge ��� Laurel, MD The Refuge Association will work with the leadership of the Urban Wildlife Conservation Programs and with staff at each Refuge to develop a vision, flesh out programmatic goals and objectives, source partners to assist the Refuge in implementing their vision, and work to increase the capacity of Refuge Friends Groups to engage and serve urban constituencies.
