U.S. Embassy Lome Public Diplomacy Small Grants Program

The U.S. Department of State’s Embassy Lomé announces an open competition to implement programs that strengthen the strategic relationship between the United States and Togo. This foreign assistance opportunity seeks targeted, results‑oriented projects that promote economic growth, enhance security cooperation, and highlight American innovation and leadership. The program’s main goals are to support commercial ties that create jobs and drive innovation, encourage co-funding between U.S. and Togolese organizations, and shift our relationship from “aid to trade”. We also aim to deepen security ties by supporting joint efforts in law enforcement, protecting critical infrastructure, and promoting Togo’s role in regional stability. In addition, we want to showcase American excellence through the Freedom 250 campaign, underscore U.S. leadership in technology and diplomacy, and expand English language and entrepreneurship education that supports workforce readiness and market‑relevant skills.
