Child Health and Human Development Other Research

Objective

The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development’s mission is to lead research and training to understand human development, improve reproductive health, enhance the lives of children and adolescents, and optimize abilities for all.

Universities, colleges, medical, dental, and nursing schools, schools of public health, laboratories, hospitals, State, and local health departments, other public or private institutions, both nonprofit and for-profit, and individuals. Applicants must be citizens of the United States or be admitted to the United States for permanent residency; they also must be nominated and sponsored by a public or private institution having staff and facilities suitable to the proposed research training. Domestic nonprofit organizations may apply for the institutional NRS grant. To be eligible for funding, a grant application must be approved for scientific merit and program relevance by a scientific review group, a national advisory council and reflect alignment with Administration Priorities. For Research Career Programs with the exception of K99 grants: Applicants must be citizens of the United States or a non-citizen national of the United States or be admitted to the United States for permanent residency; they also must be nominated and sponsored by a public or private institution having staff and facilities to the proposed research training. Foreign entities are not eligible to apply.
