Rural Health Limited Geographic Areas: Delta, Appalachian Region, and Northern Border Region

Objective

The various initiatives included in this assistance listing are: Delta Region Community Health Systems Development enhances health care delivery in Delta Region through technical assistance (TA) to providers in select rural communities, including Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs), small rural hospitals, Rural Health Clinics (RHCs), and others. Delta States Rural Development Network Grant Program funds organizations located in the 8 Delta states through planning, implementation, and development of integrated health care networks. Delta Region Rural Health Workforce Training addresses the need in healthcare facilities for trained administrative support or business operations professionals in rural communities. Delta Health Systems Implementation Program (DSIP) improves healthcare delivery in rural areas by implementing projects that improve financial sustainability of hospitals and increase access to care. Delta Region Maternal Care Coordination improves and expands access to and coordination of perinatal health care services in Delta Region. Rural Northern Border Region (NBRC) Outreach promotes the delivery of health care services to underserved populations in rural NBRC service area. Rural Behavioral Health Workforce Centers-Northern Border Region creates a collaborative approach to provide career and workforce training activities in NBRC region to assist individuals affected by SUD. Rural Communities Opioid Response Program-Northern Border Rural Workforce improves health care within the rural service area by enhancing behavioral health workforce capacity. Appalachian Region Healthcare Support Program enhances health care delivery by improving financial and operational performance through intensive TA to providers in rural communities, including CAHs, small rural hospitals, RHCs, and other healthcare organizations.
