Objective
The Minority Serving Institutions Grants Program (MSIGP) funds nuclear and/or STEM-related minority serving programs, activities, projects, symposiums and training for the exchange and transfer of knowledge and skills relevant to nuclear safety, security, environmental protection, or any other fields the Commission deems critical to its mission. MSIGP provides assistance for programs and activities to include fellowships, scholarships, faculty development, but not limited to mentoring, leadership development, training, instruction, developmental learning, program evaluation, and technical assistance. MSIGP also provides assistance to include direct institutional subsidies, facilities and equipment acquisition, internships, tuition and housing assistance.

- Local (includes State-designated lndian Tribes, excludes institutions of higher education and hospitals
- Hispanic-serving Institution
- Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)
- Tribally Controlled Colleges and Universities (TCCUs)
- Alaska Native and Native Hawaiian Serving Institutions
Minority Serving Institutions and organizations that provide services to Minority Serving Institutions and their students and faculty.
