Hazardous Materials State Inspection (HMSI) Grant

Objective

The HM State Inspection Grant provides training and financial support for State entities to perform hazardous material shipper inspections. The goal of this program is to expand PHMSA and the State’s ability to ensure industry compliance therefore, reducing the risk of a hazardous materials incidents.

Who Can Apply

• U.S. State Government (including the District of Columbia)

State enforcement entities charged with inspecting hazardous materials shipments/cargo.
