Objective

This Assistance Listing 20.339 created in August 2025 was included in the previous ALN 20.326, please refer to former ALN 20.326 for FY24 and FY25 financial obligations. The new Assistance Listing 20.339 will be utilized by DOT at the start of FY 2026. To fund a comprehensive intercity passenger rail planning and development program that will help guide intercity passenger rail development throughout the country and create a pipeline of intercity passenger rail projects ready for implementation.

Who Can Apply

  • State

(A) a State (including the District of Columbia); (B) a group of States; (C) an Interstate Compact; (D) a public agency or publicly chartered authority established by 1 or more States; (E) a political subdivision of a State; (F) Amtrak, acting on its own behalf or under a cooperative agreement with 1 or more States; or (G) any combination of the entities described in (A) through (F).

Who Benefits
