Objective
The goals of the GAMTTEP grants are to 1) attract K-12 students in underrepresented groups to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education and careers in the transportation industry, 2) create a talent pipeline from GAMTTEP to other FHWA Workforce Development Programs and other transportation careers, 3) foster creativity and forward-thinking by incorporating modern technologies, real-world program-solving, and hands-on experiences in the curriculum, and 4) develop strong partnerships between Government, educational institutions, and the private sector to create a collaborative community that supports, and uplifts underrepresented groups in transportation. This Assistance Listing 20.293 created in August 2025 was included in the previous ALN 20.215, please refer to former ALN 20.215 for FY24 and FY25 financial obligations. The new Assistance Listing 20.293 will be utilized by DOT at the start of FY 2026.
