Energy Governance and Reform Programs

STATE, DEPARTMENT OF

Objective

The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs (EEB), Energy and Critical Minerals Directorate's (ECM) programs promote American energy dominance by working to increase U.S. energy-related exports, open foreign energy markets, and counter the CCP’s control over critical energy infrastructure and supply chains. ECM also supports American reindustrialization by establishing pathways to secure U.S. access to critical minerals through diplomacy, policy guidance to regional bureaus and USG agencies, technical assistance, and advisory support.
