Objective

Program goal(s) name: Reduce impact of substance use on individuals and communities Program goal(s) description: Reduce the impact of opioids, stimulants and other substances on individuals and communities, including a reduction in the number of overdose fatalities, as well as mitigate the impacts on crime victims by supporting comprehensive, collaborative initiatives. Program objective(s) name: Reduce the morbidity and mortality of substance use, increase access to services, and support law enforcement activities to address illicit substance distribution. Program objective description: Increase access to and receipt of prevention, treatment, and recovery support services for individuals with substance use disorder in the community, in correctional settings, and upon reentry; reduce overdose deaths; and support law enforcement-related efforts, including locating or investigating illicit activities related to the unlawful distribution of opioids to promote public safety.
