Objective

Program goal(s) name: Improve outcomes for girls at risk for or involved in the juvenile justice system. Program goal(s) description: Reduce recidivism, reduce risk factors, and promote protective factors for girls who come in contact with the juvenile justice system, and place them on a path toward success, stability, and long-term contribution to society by developing, enhancing, or expanding programs and services that improve responses to girls who come into contact with the juvenile justice system. Program objective(s) name: Reduce Recidivism for Justice-Involved Girls Program objective(s) description: Develop and implement new direct service programs for girls involved in the juvenile justice system to reduce recidivism; Enhance or expand existing prevention and early intervention programs to meet the specific needs of girls involved in the juvenile justice system; Develop, expand or enhance targeted curricula for staff (i.e., probation, detention center staff, law enforcement, judges) to ensure they have the skills necessary to implement these programs for girls in the juvenile justice system.
