DNA Backlog Reduction Program

Objective

Program goal(s) name: Increase DNA processing capacity. Program goal(s) description: Assist eligible States and units of local government to increase laboratory capacity and reduce the number of samples awaiting analysis in both the casework and database sections. Program objective(s) name: Improve DNA entry into CODIS. Program objective(s) description: Increase the number of CODIS-eligible samples analyzed in forensic DNA and DNA database laboratories and reduce the forensic case and DNA database sample turnaround times for CODIS entry.
