Juvenile Mentoring Program

Objective

Program goal(s) name: Reduce negative outcomes for at risk youth through mentoring. Program goal(s) description: Improve outcomes for at-risk and high-risk youth, and reduce negative outcomes (including juvenile delinquency, substance use, and gang participation) through the provision of mentoring services. Program objective(s) name: Increase access to mentoring services for at risk youth and availability of online materials on the most current and effective mentoring practices. Program objective(s) description: Increase or expand reach to the number of at-risk or high-risk youth receiving mentoring services; implement program design enhancements that align with research and evidence on effective mentoring approaches; Reduce the impact of opioid or other substance use on youth; and maintain and enhance the National Mentoring Resource Center (NMRC) – a comprehensive, online repository of resources and improve the capacity of mentoring organizations to develop, implement, and expand effective mentoring practices.
