Objective

Program goal(s) name: Improved information and intelligence sharing to enhance enforcement operational efficiency. Program goal(s) description: RISS helps agencies combat regional crime threats such as violent crime, gang activity, narcotics trafficking, and terrorism by facilitating intelligence sharing, analysis, and investigative support. The program enhances operational efficiency, promotes collaboration, and helps law enforcement agencies identify and dismantle criminal networks across jurisdictions. Program objective(s) name: Improve cross jurisdiction information sharing, training, capacity, resources, and awareness of high-risk threats. Program objective(s) description: Expand access to secure, federated criminal intelligence platforms and tools for law enforcement nationwide; Promote event deconfliction protocols to prevent operational overlap and ensure officer safety; Provide specialized equipment loans, analytical support, and investigative resources to frontline agencies; and Offer ongoing field-based technical assistance and subject matter expertise to investigators and task forces and deliver training/develop briefings on high-risk threats including domestic terrorism, gun violence, and trafficking crimes.
