Program objective(s) name: Support youth violence reduction programs Program objective description: Implement intervention strategies that prevent youth from joining gangs and help them to discontinue their involvement with gangs and violence; implement suppression strategies to address youth gang violence; reduce and sustain reductions in community youth violence, particularly gun and gang violence, and victimization; and convene a task force or working group that meets regularly to identify and address service gaps and barriers and coordinates with other existing state/local youth crime reduction efforts.
