Objective

Program goal(s) name: Facilitate justice. Program goal(s) description: Facilitate accountability, justice, and reconciliation for cold case murder victims associated with civil rights violations by identifying, investigating, prosecuting, and resolving these cases that were committed before January 1, 1980. Enhance the capacity of state, local, and tribal law enforcement and prosecutors and partners to identify, investigate, and prosecute these cases. Program objective(s) name: Increase prosecutions of civil rights-related cold case murders. Program objective(s) description: Increase the number of state, local, and tribal investigations and prosecutions of civil rights-related cold case murders; Increase community awareness and involvement to inform the cases and bring healing and closure to the victims' families and impacted communities.
