Platte River Recovery Implementation

Objective

Implementation of the Platte River Recovery Program Cooperative Agreement which implements certain aspects of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s recovery plans for four target species (interior least tern, whooping crane, piping plover and pallid sturgeon) listed as threatened or endangered pursuant to the Endangered Species Act.

Legislation authorizes the agreement. The term ‘‘Agreement’’ means the Platte River Recovery Implementation Program Cooperative Agreement entered into by the Governors of the States of Wyoming, Nebraska, and Colorado and the Secretary.
