Tribal Climate Resilience

Objective

The Cooperative Landscape Conservation (CLC) program provides funds and technical support to enable tribal governments and trust land managers to better understand potential impacts and vulnerabilities of communities, ecosystems and built systems to climate-related change, to enable them to develop information and tools to support planning and decision making, to implement strategies that improve the preparedness and resilience of communities in the face of a changing climate and address the potential for increased peak weather events. The program also enables tribal participation in ocean and coastal planning.

Who Can Apply

  • Federally Recognized lndian Tribal Governments
  • Native American Organizations (includes lndian groups, cooperatives, corporations, partnerships, associations)

Direct Support Awards: Federally Recognized Indian Tribal Governments, Native American Organizations authorized by Indian tribal governments and Native American non-profit organizations, federally/tribally chartered tribal colleges and universities. Providers of Training and Technical Support Awards: Native American Organizations authorized by Indian tribal governments, federally/tribally chartered tribal colleges and universities, Native American tribal and non-profit organizations, and public universities.
