National Guard Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Program

Objective
This is a non-discretionary program only available to the 50 States, 4 Territories and the District of Columbia National Guard (S/T/D). The National Guard Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (NG MWR) Program: a) Supports combat readiness and effectiveness. b) Supports recruitment and retention of quality personnel. c) Provides leisure time activities, which support a quality of life commensurate with generally accepted American values. d) Promotes and maintains the mental and physical well-being of authorized personnel. e) Fosters community pride, Service Member morale, Family wellness and promotes unit esprit de corps. f) Eases the impact of unique aspects of military life, such as frequent relocations and deployment.

- U.S. State Government (including the District of Columbia)
- U.S. Territory (or Possession) Government (including freely-associated states)
