Bycatch Reduction Engineering Program

Objective
Promotes improved fishing practices and innovative gear technologies to benefit U.S. fishermen by minimizing bycatch (non-target catch), reducing post-release mortality of non-target species, and minimizing habitat impacts to the extent practicable.
