Broadband Infrastructure Program

Objective

The Broadband Infrastructure Program provides federal grants for the deployment of broadband infrastructure.

Who Can Apply

  • State
  • Territorial
  • For-Profit Organization

An applicant must be a "covered partnership," which means partnership between— (A) a State or U.S. Territory, or one or more political subdivisions of a State or U.S. Territory; and (B) a provider of fixed broadband service. The partnership does not need to be documented in a formal legal agreement at the time of application submission but can be expressed in the application as a general intent to cooperate in implementing the covered broadband project proposed for an award.

General public and businesses will benefit from this assistance which supports broadband infrastructure deployment to areas lacking adequate broadband service, especially rural areas.
