FNS Food Safety Grants

Objective

The Food and Nutrition Service’s Food Safety Branch provides funding to support its mission of increasing awareness, visibility, and impact of food safety on USDA nutrition assistance programs.

Who Can Apply

  • Nonprofit Organization
  • County Government (inclusive of boroughs in Alaska, parishes and other governmental entities with geographic regional control and authority)
  • Other Local Government Consortium, Regional Organization (Intrastate), or Other Local Government Combination
  • Local

Assistance may be used to conduct research or perform other tasks to benefit FNS nutrition assistance programs in the area of food safety. Eligible entities include universities and colleges that are publicly funded and operate under the auspices of state or regional governments, and private institutions of higher education
