Student Internship Programs

Objective
To increase the number of students studying agriculture, food, natural resources, science, engineering, health, and other related disciplines, and to offer internship opportunities within USDA.
Who Can Apply
- Nonprofit with 501C3 IRS Status (Other than Institution of Higher Education)
- Local (includes State-designated lndian Tribes, excludes institutions of higher education and hospitals
- State (includes District of Columbia, public institutions of higher education and hospitals)
- Non-Government - General
Any community-based organization, network, or coalition of community-based organizations that— (1) has demonstrated experience in providing agricultural education or other agriculturally related services to socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers and veteran farmers or ranchers; (2) has provided to the Secretary documentary evidence of work with, and on behalf of, socially disadvantaged farmers or ranchers and veteran farmers or ranchers during the 3-year period preceding the submission of an application for assistance under this subsection; and (3) does not engage in activities prohibited under section 501(c)(3) of title 26.
