DoD Virtual Lab School

Objective

The overall objective of the DoD Virtual Lab School (VLS) project is to continue the work of the Virtual Lab School in providing innovative and cost effective, virtual professional development for child development program staff. This objective should be accomplished through the following activities and product development: (1) maintenance and support necessary to maintain the Virtual Lab School web presence; (2) further development of competencies for providers, trainers, and managers within the child, youth, and family care environments; (3) further piloting of competencies on military installations as they are developed; (4) training opportunities to installation level personnel; and, (5) collection of ongoing feedback from users to enhance content and incorporate system improvements.

State agricultural experiment stations, State cooperative extension services, all colleges and universities, other research and extension institutions and organizations, Federal agencies, private organizations or corporations, and individuals to facilitate or expand promising breakthroughs in areas of the food and agricultural sciences of importance to the United States. Applicants for the DoD Virtual Lab School grant must meet all the requirements discussed in the NOFO. Failure to meet the eligibility criteria by the application deadline may result in exclusion from consideration or, preclude NIFA from making an award.
