Extension Collaborative on Immunization Teaching & Engagement

Objective
Funds are provided for support the Extension Collaborative on Immunization Teaching & Engagement (EXCITE). Since 2021, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has partnered with NIFA and the Extension Foundation to provide adult immunization education via the EXCITE program. The goal is to promote vaccine confidence and uptake among rural adults. Funds also support continuation of the H5N1 program, including updated materials and monthly system-wide updates. The Extension Foundation, working collaboratively with the Extension Committee on Organization and Policy at the Association of Public and Land-grant Colleges and Universities, has the infrastructure and capacity to respond expeditiously and effectively to help address public health priorities.
