Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Pd to Moby INC Fbo Fhcc)
Seattle, WA
$16K
The fred hutchinson cancer research center in seattle, wa, ("fred hutch") developed a smoking cessation app and demonstrated its effectiveness in a large clinical trial funded by the nih. The app is being commercialized in the us by a for profit company. Laidir is funding a project to study the distribution of a free version of the app in india. Early in 2022, laidir made a Grant to Fred Hutch to Fund the work they will be doing on the project. Some of the work will be done by subcontractors working with fred hutch (e.g., by moby, INC., 51 w. Dayton st., #303, edmonds, wa 98020). Laidir has chosen to pay moby directly because fred hutch charges a 76% addition on all grants to cover overhead. The moby work was the fIRSt phase of the project. The project is scheduled to be completed in early 2024. The idea is to figure out how much it will cost to distribute digital health products in low- and middle-INCome countries if they are made available free of charge to end users.
