Restrictions

Awards are granted to rising freshmen (high school seniors), sophomores and all vocational-tech students - $3,000; rising juniors - $4,000; rising seniors or 5th year students - $5,000. Assuming there are qualified applicants from each pool, the number of awards will be distributed in proportion to the total percentage of applications received from: vocational/tech and two-year students and four-year colleges and universities. Applicants are notified in April. Scholarship America processes scholarship payments on behalf of Dodge Industrial Foundation, Inc. Payment is made in August. Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, work experience, a statement of educational and career goals and objectives, unusual personal or family circumstances and an online recommendation. Financial need is not considered. Selection of recipients is made by Scholarship America.
