A description of current programs and activities 4. The type of funding (general or project) and the grant amount requested 5. A description of the target population and geographic area served 6. Evidence of need 7. A full description of the proposed program, its goals, objectives, and expected outcomes (continued on statement 16) 8. An explanation of how you will evaluate outcomes and how you will measure success 9. The current status of the program (date established and anticipated duration), if applicable 10. Restrictions

The foundation makes grants to support initiatives that address hunger and food insecurity through direct service programs and/or advocacy efforts. Grants are made to organizations that are tax exempt under the IRS code 501(C)(3) As Public Charities under IRS code 509(a). The foundation provides both program/project and general operating support. Ideal candidates for general operating grants are organizations which focus on food access and/or food distribution as their primary mission (i.e. A food pantry; an organization that distributes meals; or a Food Growing or Gleaning Organization). Nonprofits with a mission that does not focus on food but that operate specific programming around food, such as a senior center that operates a congregate meal program, should submit a request for program or project support.
