How to Apply
The foundation trustees meet on an ongoing basis, and grant requests are accepted at any time. A foundation representative may request a site visit prior to the consideration of a grant and conditions such as a post-grant evaluation may be required. There are no formal procedures for grant application. Restrictions
The foundation considers grant requests from the following general areas: arts and cultural programs, education, human services, and animal welfare. Within the area of arts and cultural programs, the foundation has a specific interest in theater. The foundation supports educational programs within the areas of arts, cultural, and historic. The focus in human services is on women and children in need and the promotion of individual and family self-sufficiency. The interest in animal welfare encompasses not only the care of animals in need but also programs which would alleviate such need. The foundation gives particular consideration to less established or sophisticated organizations having few secure or traditional sources of funding. While most grants tend to be made on a project or one-time basis, the foundation will consider proposals for support beyond one year.
