How to Apply
The foundation was created to identify and support Oklahoma 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations assisting domestic animals needing rescue in Oklahoma. Preference is given to organizations in Cleveland and Oklahoma counties. Grant minimums and maximums are not designated. Preference may be given, in some years, to large grants where a genuine impact may be accomplished. No grants can be awarded to individuals. Proposals which commit the foundation to continued support of operations will generally not be approved. The Lockhart Foundation strongly encourages applicants to seek support from multiple sources. The Lockhart Foundation will not pay for salaries or vehicles or provide for construction on property not under the ownership of the rescue. See statement 9.
