The foundation makes grants to a relatively small number of pre-selected charitable organizations. On rare occasions, the foundation may make grants to other worthwhile charitable organizations that come to the attention of the officers and directors of the foundation. The foundation has no paid staff. The directors meet only once per year, for the annual meeting of directors, usually in December, at which time unsolicited requests for grants are brought to their attention. The foundation does not make grants to individuals and does not accept unsolicited applications for funds from individuals.
