How to Apply

The North Carolina Science, Mathematics, and Technology Education Center will accept grant applications that foster the improvement of science, mathematics, and technology Pre K-12 education in North Carolina. Proposals should be submitted to the center in the form of a letter. Applicants should describe the focus of the activity, the expected outcomes, and the proposal's relevance to Pre K-12 SMT education in North Carolina; the qualifications of the organization and the individuals involved; provide certification of the sponsor's internal revenue tax-exempt status; and give the total budget for the activity, including any financial support obtained or promised. Proposals are given preliminary review by the center staff and those deemed appropriate will be presented to the board of directors for consideration.

All grant recipients must be public charities with 501(c)(3) status or governmental entities, reside in the state of North Carolina, and demonstrate relevance to the advancement of Pre K-12 science, mathematics, and technology education in North Carolina.
