How to Apply
The Boss Foundation encourages use of the Minnesota Common Grant Application Form developed by the Minnesota Council on Foundations. Organizations not in Minnesota may also use this form. The form and other useful information is available online at the Minnesota Council on Foundations' website, www.mcf.org. If you use the Common Grant Application Form, be sure to include the information listed below. If you do not use the Common Grant Application Form, your proposal must be in the form set forth below: The proposal shall consist of five pages. **Page 1:** A one-page letter addressed to the President from your President or other person authorized by your organization to solicit contributions. In this letter, state: - (A) The dollar amount of your request - (B) The purpose for which the funds will be used - (C) Any special time constraints on the receipt of contributions **Page 2:** Evidence from the IRS of your current 501(c)(3) status. **Pages 3-5:** Any additional supporting documentation.

Restrictions
The Boss Foundation is a private foundation which distributes the income from its investments each fiscal year. The grants are distributed to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations furthering or engaged in the performing and fine arts. The fiscal year of the foundation ends on June 30th of each year.
