How to Apply
Applicants must complete the Entergy Charitable Foundation grant application form. The form requests the name, address, telephone number, and a primary contact for the organization applying. Information regarding the applicants' tax status (e.g., 501(c)(3)) is also requested. The application should include attachments providing the following: 1) Description of organization - A description of the organization's work, mission, and accomplishments, including detailed information on the communities that the organization supports. - An overview of the organization's structure. 2) Description of project - Brief description of project and what it will accomplish, including timetable for the project and the community it will serve. - Detailed budget for the project. - Expected project results and evaluation process. - Media coverage plan. - List of other organizations from which funds are requested.

Restrictions
The foundation will grant funds to the following types of organizations: 1) Non-profit organizations that are tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or 2) Any organization described under Section 170(b)(1)(a)(i)-(v) of the Internal Revenue Code. The foundation does not make grants to individuals or loans of any type. It will not fund political candidates or groups, gala events, fundraising events, events that solely promote a specific religion or church, or organizations owned or operated by Entergy Corporation. The foundation will make grants to charitable organizations in communities where Entergy customers and employees live and work. The funds will be used to help fund programs directed toward low-income populations, education, and literacy.
