How to Apply

The foundation has developed applications for scholarships and other educational grants. The foundation's applications include the following: - A transcript of prior academic, musical, literary, and/or other achievements, depending on the type of scholarship or other educational grant to be awarded - A report of performance on tests designed to measure ability and aptitude - A description of financial need - An essay written by the applicant describing the applicant's interests and aspirations - A description of past involvement in extracurricular activities - A list of past honors and recognitions - Written recommendations by individuals not related to the applicant - The names of the educational institutions to which the applicant intends to apply

Restrictions

The number of annual scholarships and other educational grants made by the foundation will be dependent upon the foundation's resources and other programs. With respect to scholarships awarded for regular study at an educational institution, each scholarship will be awarded by the selection committee in an amount determined by it, not to exceed the anticipated cost of the recipient's tuition, board, room, fees, books, supplies, travel costs, and incidental expenses for his or her attendance at such educational institution. With respect to scholarships and other educational grants used to achieve a specific objective or to enhance recipients' capacities or skills, each such scholarship or other educational grant will be awarded by the selection committee and the amount of such a scholarship or educational grant will not exceed the anticipated cost of the particular educational activity designed to achieve a specific objective or to enhance the recipient's capacities or skills.
