The trustees of the martin & clarisse clancy foundation will consider requests for grants to tax-exempt organizations (1) primarily serving the long beach, california metropolitan area, and (2) providing health care services, including but not limited to health education, medical research, clinical and hospital services, and related activities. Or formed and operating to provide services and/or facilities for the youth of the community, including but not limited to such services or activities as child care, organized athletics/physical eduction, health education, social and recreational activities, and related activities. The trustees are more likely to look with favor upon projects which improve the quality of life. Increase the responsiveness of agencies to community need. Develops self-reliance. Direct themselves to prevention as well as to treatment. And eliminate duplication of services and encourage cooperation.
