Restrictions

Fellowships and grants are provided to support graduate students and young scholars who are working in the history of science and technology in east asia from the beginning of the 20th century, regardless of their nationality, origins or gender. Comparative studies of east asia and the west as well as studies in related fields (mathematics, medicine and public health).two or three post-doctoral fellowships are awarded annually and that is limited to $60,000. Three or four dissertation fellowships are awarded annually and they are limited to $25,000 each. The foundation also awards several group grants and travelling/research grants each year. Those limits are $5,000 and $2,500 each, respectively.
